1904 Phelps Marine Conversion

Phelps automobiles were manufactured from 1903 to 1905 in Stoneham, Mass. A Phelps automobile set the first official record of 1 hour 46 minutes, for climbing the 8 miles up Mount Washington. In spite of the short life of Phelps, this engine was captured and converted for marine use. It is unusual, being three cylinders in-line.
