Museum publications are distributed to teachers, schools, libraries and children's organizations such as the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts, Civil Air Cadets and extra-curricular groups at no charge. For others, the cost of each publication is listed below. Contact the Museum at 207-594-4418 or by e-mail to request a copy of a particular publication. Strut & Axle
The Strut & Axle is the Museum's quarterly membership publication. Each issue is comprised of historical and scientific articles, vignettes, remembrances and photographs relating to transportation history and technologies. The printed version of the Strut will be mailed free of charge to any teacher, school, library or other non-profit organization requesting it. It is also mailed to members of the Museum.

Collections Catalog
The Collections Catalog contains photos, facts and anecdotes on most of the airplanes, automobiles, engines, bicycles, carriages and motorcycles in the Museum's collection. A copy of the Collections Catalog is sent to the leader(s) of each school group scheduling a tour, and is available free of charge to all schools, teachers and libraries. The Catalog is available to the public for $15.00 (includes shipping and handling.)

Education 2001 Guide
The Museum's Education Initiative Guide details the education resources available through the Museum and elsewhere. We recommend it as a place to start if you plan to incorporate transportation history and technologies into your classroom activities. The Education 2001 Guide contains a constantly growing list of resources, ideas and opportunities for you to use in the classroom and at the Museum.

Ordering Publications
Teachers, school administrators, librarians, Scout leaders and other leaders of non-profit organizations may order any of our publications free of charge, by telephone (207-594-4418) or by e-mail. Please specify which publications you are ordering, and please provide us with your mailing address and the name of the organization you work with.
