Robert Lang and Family
In the fall of 1997 the family of Museum founder Steven Lang donated more than 5,000 books, articles of ephemera, prints, original artwork and photographs to the Owls Head Transportation Museum, enabling the establishment of the The Lang Education Center & Library. The donation was made by the Lang family in memory of Steven Lang's father Robert. Robert Lang was a life-long collector and a friend of the Transportation Museum. Robert Lang's love for transportation history and the Lang family's generous donation have made the Transportation Museum an important repository of transportation-related books, articles and ephemera.
