A Coastal Biplane Ride Membership Package may be purchased throughout the year. Ride certificates are transferable making them a great holiday, birthday or special occasion gift. There is no expiration date on a ride certificate.
All flights depart from the Owls Head Transportation Museum. The Stearman takes one passenger. The rider must be 18 years old. The Waco can take two passengers—with one passenger being 18 years or older. Rides aboard the Stearman and Waco may be scheduled for any day during the flying season (May through mid-October). All rides are dependent on weather and pilot availability.
The package price for a Stearman ride is $200 and includes an Individual museum membership. The Waco package** is $350 and includes a Dual museum membership. Already a member? Members receive a special discount off these listed prices.
Flights are a minimum of 20 minutes and will range north to Camden’s Mt. Battie or south to Port Clyde. Regardless of direction, passengers will be treated to views of lighthouses, coastal islands and majestic mountains. Once you have completed your flight you can look forward to enjoying your membership benefits including free admission to the Museum and events, our membership publication Strut & Axle, gift shop discounts and more.
