The term "Beach Wagon" was used primarily in New England to describe these wooden-bodied vehicles whose varied jobs included transporting folks to and from the beach. They were later called "Station Wagons" owing to their wide use carrying commuters to and from railroad stations. Both terms are still heard, especially from older generations. The term "Woodie" is also popular. Specifications: Model T; engine four-cylinder, in-line, water-cooled; bore 3-1/4 in., stroke 4 in., displacement 176.7 cu. in., 20 hp. Price new $615.
