The Singer Sewing Machine Company manufactured this three wheeler, powered both by foot pedals and cranked hand levers, hence the "Dual Propulsion" name. It is steered by twisting the handle of the right side crank lever, which is connected by a linkage to the front wheel. Contemporary advertisements promote this type of tricycle as suitable for folks who have lost the use of their legs. Accession no. 1992G60 |
