This National Offset Tricycle, possibly made by the St. Nicholas Mfg. Co., Chicago, Illinois (est. 1889), is patterned after the Coventry Rotary Tricycle. The large wheel to the left of the rider provides the drive through a system of pedals, chain and sprockets. The two small wheels on the right are steered by twisting the spade grip. It is regarded as one of the best and fastest of the single-driving two-track tricycles. Accession no. 1995L05 |
